The iron kettle is a small appliance made of cast iron and used in the kitchen or outside for preparing tea, heating water or to prepare some beverage with the help of hot water. In lat 19th century and beginning of the 20th century people used iron kettles for various purposes. In the late 19th century the iron kettles gained popularity because stoves were no longer required to boil water or heat water. This device could be used to heat water for a cup of coffee and it was cost effective to use this. However this created a lot of kerosene fumes.
